One thing this world has a lot of, and we mean a whole lot, is data. It’s everywhere. And it accumulates more by the second. It’s inescapable.
Companies love data. They love to look at it. They love to talk about it. They love to tout it.
"Data-Driven" - "Data-Focused" - "Data-Mining"
Don’t get us wrong. We aren’t dismissive of data.
We’re doctors.
We care a lot about data. It's incredibly important to the treatment of patients, the advancement of medicine, and science in general.
"Predictive Analytics" - "Proprietary Algorithms" - "A.I. Integration"
We geek out on this stuff.
But somewhere along the way, in certain industries at least, these very popular catchwords seemed to stop being challenged and started being accepted as fact. After all, how can you as a consumer verify something you can't fully measure - in this case, personal health information?
We believe far too often these phrases are thrown around more as a sales pitch rather than fact. At least that’s been our experience.
In no way do we insinuate companies who promise you these tools don’t have them or use them for you. To the contrary, in fact. Our service can help validate these providers. We are simply asking how you, the employer, can verify such claims with your current arrangement?
We think employers should use their data to improve the lives of their staff (families) and the betterment of their business.
If we seem a little cynical about this it's because we are. It's based on our experience and is why it's one our primary focuses when trying to help our clients with their health needs.
We have witnessed too many employers putting trust in organizations who promise a host of data-related outcomes but failed to deliver on those promises, whatever the cause.
We believe one of the main reasons employers are disadvantaged in this arrangement is because they do not have unaltered, unbiased insight into their data or access to the information. They are forced to rely on interpretation from agencies who are simultaneously trying to sell them a "member service".
We think of it like this - you're being advised how to play your hand while the advisor is holding your cards.
One of the greatest values we bring to you, our client, is deeper understanding into the data of your population, the health of your employees, and the services you're entrusting to engage your staff and provide them care.
Employee PHI does NOT have to be exposed in order for employers to have a better assessment of the needs of their covered lives.
As your healthcare advocate, we eliminate the "barrier" of securing PHI data and we translate that data so you understand the needs of your population without bias or unnecessary influence.
We give you the facts and help you understand the medical impact.
Straightforward. Unaltered.
